India’s Sikh community was demanding for a long time to build a corridor between Gurdaspur and historic gurudwara in Pakistan. It seems now that their long pending demand may now be fulfilled. Officials from India and Pakistan have already confirmed that stretches would be developed in their respective areas.
In what considered as significant development, the cabinet cleared a proposal to develop a corridor from Dera Baba Nanak Saab in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district of India to the International Border to facilitate Indian pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan.
