Dr.BR Ambedkar is an eminent personality of INDIA. His work to uplift the poor and eradicate social practices were incredible. Also popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar. He was appointed as India’s first Law Minister under Jawaharlal Nehru ’s leadership. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in 1990 for his commendable work. He had gone through a lot of atrocities throughout his life.he was born in a Hindu Mahar caste, his family was viewed as “untouchable” by the upper classes. He faced discrimination in school and wherever he went.
He is an inspiration to many. He was extremely good in studies and a scholar. He got his Ph.D. degree in Economics in 1927. After attaining higher education he moved back to India to fight for the rights of untouchables. He framed the Indian constitution and fought for the rights of underprivileged. He also realized the value of education and influenced the backward classes to get educated and protest against malicious practices. He was a jurist, politician, economist, educationalist, humanitarian, writer, philosopher, and above all a great social reformer. Despite all the social and economic drawbacks he went on to become the architect of the Indian Constitution. He believed in equality of all sections of society. He believed in “We are Indians firstly and lastly”. Despite all the odds he was successful and reached heights. His success and achievements are exemplary.
Young generation should try to emulate his traits. The Round Table Conference was historic in the Indian Constitution. He was invited to discuss constitutional matters. Dr. Ambedkar demanded independence and hoped that the people of India would be able to redress their grievances by political power and this political power will come only when India becomes independent. So, he played a dominant role in making India secular.
